Objective

Gateways was my final senior project when I graduated San Diego State University.

I wanted to design a card game that me and my 2 sister could play together, which is our favorite bonding past time.

GateWays is a multiplayer card game where players can choose a character to summon monsters and use special attacks to fight against other players to obtain the ultimate treasure card to win the game.

This card game, inspired by the classic card game of War, has a twist of allowing players to use their given abilities to change the outcomes of each match.

On top of the hand illustrated card and packaging, there is a second layer of packaging that unfolds to create a play mat for players to use as well as an instructional manual on how to play the game and how to use the special cards.
